The beautiful day belied what was in store for the players as they made their round with the 18 hole being the biggest challenge. So many of the players struggled with this hole, causing what were great scores to become not what many of them had hoped for. The 18th Hole is a Par 4 which saw a good majority shooting well over par with scores of, 8, 9 and up to 13. A rough day for sure for many. We congratulate all the players for their participation and fortitude in playing through this tough day and look forward to round three with great anticipation. PH Horgan retained the lead with a 5 under par 135, with William Walsh and Brian McCann both from Canada at 2 under 13, following close behind. The Senior Professional Division, Donny Jarvis, from the US maintains his lead with a 146, 6 over par. Steven DeCosta with a one over par yesterday, played an excellent 69, 1 under par round to take the lead with a total of 140 to break even for his two day total. Steven’s closest challenge comes from Mark Phillips with a 157, 17 over par. The Open Senior Division saw Glenn Kelly continue to lead with a 6 over Par, 146 two day total. Followed by Hav Trott with a 14 over, 154. Day three of the Gosling’s Invitational continues tomorrow at the Belmont Hills Golf Club.
