Chef of the Month
Edward Bottone is the creative force and Marketing Director of Gosling’s Gourmet®, a line of gourmet specialties made with Gosling’s Black Seal Rum®. Drawing inspiration from Gosling’s Black Seal Rum cocktails – like Bermuda’s national drinks, the Rum Swizzle and the trademarked Dark ‘n Stormy® - Gosling’s Gourmet offers irresistible Preserves, Sauces, Cakes, Condiments and Confections.
Also known as The Curious Cook®, Edward is the author of The Spirit of Bermuda – Cooking with Gosling’s Black Seal Rum, a colorful, fun exploration of Bermuda’s cuisine, culture and premier spirit and export.
As a professional chef and restaurateur, he owned Lautrec Restaurant and the Borgia Café, and was a pioneer of the Philadelphia restaurant renaissance. He was a partner/creator of Bermuda’s only French bistro, Le Figaro. He has also worked as a consultant to restaurants and hotels, and as an advertising copy writer.
As a food and lifestyle journalist his work has appeared in Philadelphia Magazine, The Bermudian, London Times Express, Islands Magazine and other publications. Edward has been a radio talk show host (The World of Food and Fine Living – Philadelphia), a TV presenter (The Curious Cook Cooks – Bermuda), and a food stylist and photographer.
He is currently at work on a TV mystery series in which food plays a starring role.
