Ginger Storm (created by Ming Tsai and served at Blue Ginger, Wellesley, MA)
Ingredients2 ounces Gosling's Black Seal Rum
1/2 ounce ginger syrup
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
1 1/3 ounces sparkling water
lime wedge for garnish
MethodPack a shaker with ice and add rum, ginger syrup and lime juice. Shake well. Top with sparkling water (about 1/3 of the drink is sparkling water). Garnish with lime and enjoy!
In 1998, Ming and Polly Tsai opened Blue Ginger in Wellesley, Massachusetts and immediately impressed diners from Boston and beyond with the restaurant's innovative East-West cuisine. In the years since its opening, Blue Ginger has received countless awards and accolades.
Ming is also the national spokesperson for the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network, working to further education and research on food allergies, and is a founding member of Chefs For Humanity, a coalition of chefs and culinary professionals who organize relief and fundraising for people in need throughout the world.
But we probably all know him best for his work in television! Ming began cooking for television audiences on the Food Network, where he was the 1998 Emmy Award-Winning host of East Meets West with Ming Tsai and is currently the host and executive producer of public television cooking show, SIMPLY MING, now in its fifth season.
