On July 29th, 2008 WTTW11 presented an evening at the WTTW Studios in celebration of SIMPLY MING, the public television show currently hosted and executive produced by Ming Tsai.
An award-winning chef and restaurant owner (Blue Ginger in Wellesley, Massachusetts), Ming began cooking for television audiences in the 1990s with the popular and innovative East Meets West with Ming Tsai. Ming is also the author of three cookbooks: Blue Ginger: East Meets West Cooking with Ming Tsai, Simply Ming, and Ming's Master Recipes.
During the evening Ming demonstrated to the audience how to create a “Ginger Storm” cocktail – made with Gosling’s Black Seal, along with samples for the audience to taste.
